15th march 2009 - ak ice skating
"We all set off from the Leisure Centre looking forward to a great afternoon of ice skating. This was certainly what we got! When we arrived, we all went to the food shops. Subway, Greggs and MacDonalds were all visited. After having eaten lunch, we hit the ice rink. The skating was great fun and we all enjoyed it. By the end of the afternoon we were all, even the first time skaters, able to skate around the rink without holding onto the sides. It was my second time and I managed to only fall over once! Two hours of ice skating was very tiring and we were all ready to sit down! The singing and chatting on the way back was not as loud as on the way there because our energy had been used skating. We had a very good afternoon and were all grateful for the leaders who organised the trip. I can't wait for next year! (Matt)
