opportunity: youth development volunteer

CONNEXIONS STAFFORDSHIRE SEEKS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEERS

Connexions are looking for Youth Development Volunteers to work with them in Staffordshire to ensure that they offer the services that young people want and need. Do you know any young people aged 13+ who could spend a minimum of 4 hours a week taking part in activities and projects, including:
- interviewing Connexions Personal Advisers
- finding out what other young people think of living in Staffordshire
- auditing the service against national standards
- carrying out mystery shopping visits and calls on the Connexions centres.

Volunteers will also get to take part in Connexions training events and a residential, and be able to submit their portfolio for accreditation. Young people aged 13-16 will join the Connexions vounteering reward scheme and from 16 plus, they can sign up to Millennium Volunteers. For more information, contact Les Simmons 01785 355650 [les.simmons@cxstaffs.co.uk] or Kirsty Thomas 01785 355691 [kirsty.thomas@cxstaffs.co.uk]
