"get connected"
the sixth annual alive and kicking weekend away took place in an exciting new venue. the usual main sessions and workshops focussed on the body of Christ and what it means to be part of that body. modelling this theme we heard from several speakers - peter clarke, andrew roberts, sophie wooldridge and ben clymo. using romans 12 and 1 corinthians 12, we also looked at our purpose and talents, the worldwide church through the ages, costly love and forgiveness.
there were whole host of other activities including a quiz, late night questions, challenges, sports, music, games, a big screen film, the prayer room and a pair of roving reporters. the traditional early morning walks took on a new dimension as we went international - crossing the border to wales - and on sunday afternoon we had a time of worship bringing together the workshops and main sessions and sharing our experiences of the weekend in praise of God. there was also plenty of time throughout the weekend for other questions and issues as well as spending time together as the body of Christ. akwa 2008 - get connected!
