- to serve the community in kinver in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
- to listen and to love.
ad33 is an outward-focussed (evangelistic) vision. all expressions of this vision should exist primarily for those who are not yet involved. that is not to say that those already part of the groups should be ignored, but that those who are already involved should be strengthened and nurtured so as to connect with others.
ad33 aims to contribute to building a church family in kinver (but not exclusive to kinver) meeting in a variety of ways, including traditional and established forms of church as well as newer initiatives such as
above all, ad33 aims to be church community at the centre of the wider community.
why ad33?
ad33 is from the latin anno domini 33, or the 33rd year following the birth of Jesus Christ. it represents the year that:- Jesus died upon the cross and was laid in a tomb and, on the third day was brought to life again (matthew 27-28, mark 15-16, luke 23-24, john 19-20).
- Jesus returned to heaven to be with God, his Father (mark 16:19-20, luke 24:50-52).
- Jesus instructed his followers (Christians) to "go and make disciples of all nations" (matthew 28:18-20, mark 16:15-18).
- the first disciples were given the Holy Spirit, marking the birth of the church (john 20:19-23, acts 2:1-42)
